Hugh Tra is the founder of MedPro Legal, a division of Tra Law Group PC, where he focuses on transactional and regulatory matters for healthcare and aesthetic businesses. With more than five years of experience handling healthcare-related transactions, Hugh has advised on dozens of sales and acquisitions involving medical practices, dental offices, and aesthetic clinics.

In addition to his legal practice, Hugh is a part owner of a management services organization (MSO) for a medical spa, giving him firsthand insight into the operational and compliance challenges his clients face. This dual perspective — as both attorney and operator — informs his pragmatic, business-minded approach to advising on MSO–PC structures, compliance, employment, and growth strategy.

Hugh also represents clients in business litigation and dispute resolution, including ownership conflicts, partnership breakups, and contract enforcement. His experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and resolving regulatory and corporate disputes allows him to support healthcare businesses throughout their full life cycle — from formation to exit.

Hugh is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
